1. By declaring that it is all up to Zambry to 'solve the crisis' (read 'clear the mess'), he seeks to cleanse his hands, hence rise above the whole 'tragic comedy' (as Ku Li aptly puts it).
2. That Zambry compares himself to Mahatma Gandhi, Nelson Mandela, and Martin Luther King is a sign that he is asked to own the problem, hence absolves Najib of further perception of collaboration.
3. The hastily made declaration by a one-man panel Appeal Court provides more questions than answers, but it serves as a breathing space for Najib while everybody becomes utterly confused.
3. The panel at the Appeal Court comprises one man, and he is the most junior of the all Appeal judges.
4. The stay of execution is permanent, not interim.
5. What does the stay really mean? [My naive view: It surely cannot mean to overule the High Court ruling that Zambry has been an illegitimate MB all this while. So if this is true, the status quo should put Nizar back in his rightful MB seat. I maybe very wrong, but the confusion over the meaning is something which, I suppose, will go into the books of all future Law students.]
6. Najib's strategy may look clear if one casts the whole mess onto the backdrop of his proposition to move discussions [over the crisis] with PR.
7. If he gets his way, then he will be able to rise above the situation.
8. How PR responds to his moves is something everyone should be anxiously watching.
9. But things might not go the way Najib would like to.
10. And time is running very fast as Perak sinks deeper into the sinkhole.
As the end of the day, the whole nation will be able to judge Najib for what he is; if he succeeds to provide order to the chaos, then he is truly a political genius.
